Hospitality Design Services




Alicia Mitchell Designs specializes in hospitality interior design, having over twelve years of experience in the industry and completing over eighty projects. Our talent and attention to detail have produced many intriguing and visually profound interiors. Working attentively during the design process, we curate a work of art keeping in mind the Customer's time frame and budget.

Schematic Design

Concepting a visual and impactful preliminary design narrative for the property is crucial. We work with all parties involved to develop all aspects of the design. We also make sure that all images will resonate with visitors.

FF&E Selection

The Design Narrative then guides our team into the furniture and finish selections for the Property. We can incorporate existing furniture, but always making sure it is refinished to like new, or reupholstered if necessary.

Design Development

As the project progresses, we make sure to involve all parties. Our goal is to coordinate our questions and notes, with all the trades involved, to make sure our design intent is met, and the final product meets everyone's liking.

Interior Design Drawings

Working with the Architect, Alicia Mitchell Designs develops a set of Interior Design drawings in AutoCAD, showing all furniture and finishes in the tagged plans and elevations. They are working drawings until the 90% set or the 100% Architectural Documentation set is submitted.

Presentation Boards

With the Design Narrative, Furniture and Finish Selections, Plans, and Elevations, we can further develop the presentation to include some Guestroom, Guest Bath, Corridor, and Public Area Renderings. We also can work on physical design boards, showing the materials on a framed board.

Budgeting

Coming up with the right design solution for you is our priority, and we make sure to engineer it to look the best for the longest it can. Now with the curve ball of COVID-19, hotel design is being pushed to be more creative, as well as more durable and cleanly, and this is right up our alley. We will design the right space for your needs.

Spec and Schedule Writing

After all of the FF&E is finalized, the Specifications are compiled into one comprehensive spec booklet. We also include Finish, Decorative Lighting, and sometimes even Bathroom Accessory and Plumbing Schedules in our drawings for submittal to the Brand.

Brand Submittal

Having worked with Marriott, Hilton, and IHG in the past thirteen years, Alicia Mitchell Designs is familiar with what is needed for the different submittals to the brands. To meet certain time-frames, we will create project milestones for the different submittal dates and communicate them with the team.

Project Management

Along the way, we compile notes and develop the next steps for the project. If the hotel is doing a renovation, we will also coordinate sizes and any measurements we need with the GM, if necessary. We will make sure all elements specified will work within the existing hotel or even a brand new one.

From boutique hotels to conversions from lower-end hotels to more mid-scale ones, we make a visual impact with our selections. Even brand prototype designs can become something more customized with regional art selections and graphic wallcoverings.
